Here are some guidelines to be considered when placing an order in my shop.

* copper and brass are subject to oxidation - this means in time they will change colour [get darker]
*all my pieces are finished with Renaissance wax, to delay the oxidation process
*pieces worn very close to the skin [rings,bracelets,necklaces] could produce a skin coloration [normal reaction between metal and skin oils, perfumes, sweat] - this can be washed off with warm water and soap and it is not a health hazard
*the patinas I apply are usually sealed for protection with a clear lacquer. in time they can get a darker shade, or wear off.
*keep the pieces of jewelry very well protected from humidity, sunlight, chemicals,dust
*after wearing, polish them with a soft cloth, to remove the excess humidity or dirt
*be sure you are aware of the particularities of brass and copper before placing an order in my shop
*I reccommend avoiding wearing brass and copper jewelry if you know that you have allergies to these metals
*you can clean at home the pieces of jewelry in brass and copper, using a mixture of vinegar and salt [about 1 cup of vinegar and 1-2 teaspoons of table salt ; imerse the jewelry for a few minutes, untill you see the tarnish has gone; wash them with lukewarm water and soap; rinse very well; dry them with a soft cloth]
*don't try to clean with the solution above/ with chemicals for jewelry cleaning, the pieces of jewelry that include gemstones - these could be damaged within the process
*don't try to clean with the solution above/ with chemicals for jewelry cleaning, the pieces of jewelry that have various patina formulas applied to them - it will clean it off for good.
*even if it's metal jewelry, it still can be damaged, if worn/handled without care.
